You can get a thousand friend but only few will stay and become your great one. So, have you ever have a friend that stand by you in any condition of your life? The one who will tell you the truth even it hurts? The one who will sacrifice her/his time just to make you happy?
Yes I have one. It was the first day of my senior high school year started. He is one of my classmate but he stands out because he speak what he thought. Tell the truth and never being nice just to make other happy. Sarcastic. One word that describe him best. But as time goes by, we become a great friend until now. He is the one who will stand by my back to keep me stronger every single day. His name is Ahmad Gibran.
"You just need to use your brain and make it functional by using and filling it with all the knowledge that you can get. Just don't be stupid one." One of his signature words. Sometimes it will hurt your heart if you don't know him well. He is one of the greatest friend I've ever had. The one who tells the truth and speak louder for something which he really believe.
Like any other friendship in the world, I've been through all those fight and tears. He is a friend who will tell the truth even it hurts me deep. If there's a friend who always tells you a good thing than he's not that type. The bad is the bad, he will never change the bad to good just to make you happy even the tears come up.
But his never ending support really means a lot to me. One of the example when I'm in the situation that no one can ever imagine, when others just come and go or just say feel sorry, he spend all his time only to sit next to me and hear all the pain. He don't play with other friends on the break time just to take care of me. It takes couple of month on that situation. And he never bored. One of the sacrifice that I can't pay with everything in my whole life.
He is the one who always be my reminder to keep me on track for being the journalist. I don't like reading the newspaper until he makes me realize that you've nothing inside when you don't have any information about what's happen now. I always said that someday I want to be a journalist and he said "You can't be a journalist if you don't take any information around you. Just read the newspaper, watch the TV and open your eyes to every single thing that happen around you." I will never ever forget about it.
So many stories, so many tears and laugh. After all the years that we've been through I know the time will make our friendship stronger. So if you have one beside you now, just keep them forever whatever it takes. Because a great friend like that won't come twice in a life !!
